If you want to hit better backhand counters in pickleball, these three things will make a huge difference. 1. Keep your paddle out in front. When your paddle drifts back toward your body, you lose leverage and reaction time. Keeping the paddle out in front gives you a stronger contact point and allows your hands to be quicker in fast exchanges. 2. Keep your swing compact. At the kitchen line, there isn’t time for a big backswing. A short, compact motion lets you redirect pace and stay in control of the ball instead of sending it long. 3. Reset your paddle after contact. One of the biggest mistakes players make is letting their paddle drop after the swing. After you counter, immediately bring your paddle back up and stay centered so you’re ready for the next ball. 🚨 DISCOUNT ALERT 🚨 Comment the word “discounts” with no quotation marks and I’ll have my insta assistant (Betty the Bot 🤖) send you a link to my coupon code to Selkirk paddles/apparel and my other pickleball products! . . . #pickleball #pickleballtips #pickleballdrills #pickleballplayer #pickleballaddict Source: All Things Pickleball
