If you don’t know the rules, you can’t play! In this video, we break down the most important pickleball rules so you can step on the court with confidence and start playing right away. First, understand the boundaries of the court. The baselines and sidelines mark the limits, and for a ball to be in, it must land on or within these lines. If any part of the ball touches the line, it’s considered in 99% out is 100% in! Next, the one-bounce rule. The ball is only allowed to bounce once on your side before you must return it. If it bounces twice, the rally is over. You can also choose to hit the ball out of the air before it bounces. Finally, the Non-Volley Zone (NVZ), also known as the kitchen. This seven foot area on both sides of the net is what makes pickleball unique. If you are standing in the NVZ, you cannot hit the ball out of the air, you must let it bounce first. You can step into the kitchen at any time, just not while volleying the ball. Understanding these key rules will help you avoid common mistakes and enjoy the game from your very first match. 👇 Explore the official rulebook, player resources, and everything you need to start and grow your pickleball journey. 📘 Official Pickleball Rulebook https://usapickleball.org/rules/ 🎥 Pickleball Blog https://usapickleball.org/strategies/ 🎉 Join or Renew Your USA Pickleball Membership https://usapickleball.org/membership/ 📌 Don’t forget to Like, Comment, and Subscribe for more pickleball tips, drills, and ways to improve your game. #USAPickleball #PickleballDrills #PickleballTips #PickleballTraining #PickleballSkills #PickleballRules #Pickleball Source: USA Pickleball Videos
