Pickleball Therapy

I’ve always gravitated to things I’m good at (I think that’s the human condition 😅) But all that being said, I was NEVER “naturally good” at pickleball and it wasn’t something I picked up easily. I think a lot of people assume I’m a natural athlete but I’m not… I’m genuinely not very coordinated to begin with & even my basketball coach growing up called me BAMBI ON ICE if that tells you anything 🤣🦌🧊 So when I started playing pickleball having no previous racquet sport background I CONSTANTLY felt behind and like I was so much WORSE than everybody around me. I remember thinking to myself that it took me so much longer to learn these super basic skills when everyone around me seemed to pick it up so easily…. Which was unfortunately a very similar feeling I had experienced a lot as a kid in school and other activities. So as fun as pickleball was, it was equally SO TRIGGERING FOR ME 😵‍💫 I constantly was fighting the feeling of feeling behind and even feeling just dumb at times… But instead of quitting, I just kept working at it. And I’m so proud of how far I’ve come in this sport! Sure, it’s taken me longer but what I have found along the way is that it’s only made more passionate to really learn how to break down pickleball shots, concepts and techniques to a very easy to understand level. Which eventually lead to me creating this page and working in the pickleball industry full time 🥹♥️ Anyways, I say all of this to remind you that your brain is beautiful and how you learn things is unique to you!
